Have some fun being a virtual kid again

I think that one of the big benefits of having or knowing young kids is having a ready supply of cheerful art for the refrigerator or bulletin board gallery.  Part of what makes that art fun is the lack of rules, so…  when was the last time you picked up the crayons?  No worries, thanks to technology there are now free online drawing tablets.  I can hear some of you saying that you’re no good drawing with the mouse – how good were you at holding a crayon when you were four years old? If you didn’t let that stop you then, why are you stopping now?  It’s good to exercise the right side of your brain now and then… Have some fun!

  • Create your own icon or favicon (like the little green 7 for this site) – how would you represent yourself?

A quick animated affirmation

A quick animated affirmation

Playtime is important. Not to mention fun.  And it’s kind of nice to have an option or two that doesn’t make a mess or require supplies which is what brings me to mention www.makesweet.com.  It’s free and has lots of templates to choose from or you can make your own and then upload a photo or just type in words.  You could use them for sending e-cards or making and printing affirmations for yourself or whatever.  What a great way to get creative and see what you can come up with. The vector graphics are part of what make this so cool and realistic when you get your picture loaded into a billboard so if you’ve always wondered what your face would look like on that famous Times Square billboard, here’s your chance.
